Composed greenery with a didactic function – the concept of an arboretum in Pluski Forestry

Argument. This article concerns nature and forestry education. The subject of analysis was the forest inspectorate of Nowe Ramuki, which is one of the most beautiful parts of the Mazury-Podlasie region. The advantages of this area make it conducive to educational tasks.
The concept discussed. The theoretical part of the article describes the geographical and natural features of the Nowe Ramuki forestry area and its historical background. This part also shows how the area is suitable for nature and forest education today. It describes in detail didactic tracks and forest education points such as Nature and Ecology Education Posts or Local Base of Ecology Education.
Results and conclusions. The practical part focuses on how educational features of the Nowe Ramuki forestry area can be improved in the future. To find out what needs to be changed, a questionnaire was implemented. Part of the forestry area near Pluski was researched in more detail. A landscape analysis, forest inventory and evaluation of touristic attractiveness was carried out. This area has great potential for imroving tourism.
Orginality. The final effect of the research was to create the concept of an arboretum in the Nowe Ramuki forestry area.
