Abstract

Thesis. The topic of diet and nutrition is an extremely important issue, in particular in relation to children, that is why it is so important to shape their pro-health attitudes from an early age, as well as transfer knowledge and skills in caring for their lives and health.

Discussed concepts. The article is an attempt to review the concepts of diet, nutrition and health education of a pre-school child. The author has attempted to systematize the issues beginning with the definition aspect, then indicating the appropriate conditions for child nutrition, the most common mistakes, the consequences of poor eating habits of children, and attempts to present conclusions and reflections resulting from their own experiences and analyzes of shared research results.

Results and conclusions. The author indicates the important role of diet, nutrition and health education in human life and emphasizes that despite the growing public awareness of these issues, they are still too rarely implemented and observed. The aim of the article is to draw attention to the importance of these topics in the context of a pre-school child, who should learn appropriate health habits related to physical activity as well as diet and adherence to the principles of proper nutrition from an early age. The article presents fragments of research results that can become an inspiration for further exploration and exploration of this subject.
